Journee Pour La Paix Du Liban Press Conference

On the occasion of the World Day of Peace, celebrated around the world and held in Lebanon for the fourth consecutive year, the 2015 program was announced at a press conference held Tuesday, September 8 at the Le Gray Hotel - Beirut.


This year, the event will be sponsored by HE Mr. Michel Pharaon, Minister of Tourism, HE Mr. Raymond Areij, Minister of Culture, in the presence of Mr. Saad Azhari, CEO of the Bank of Lebanon and Overseas (BLOM ), General Hassan Faqih of the Lebanese Centre for mine Action, Mr. Michel Trad, CEO of Saad & Trad sal and Mr. Nabil Tabet, Manager of Bee Events & PR. and PR.



During the conference, the Lebanese Mine Action Center (LMAC) was appointed as the Lebanese Association for Peace in 2015 as a tribute to its efforts and achievements exerted to save the country and its citizens against mine threats. A documentary was presented on the center in addition to pictures about demining in Lebanon.



The event of the year 2015 to be held on 05/10/2015 at O1NE Club focuses on the importance of the peace for Lebanon, which respects the different cultures and civilizations, with a program which highlights the music and dance around the world and that will end with the traditional Lebanese dance, Dabkeh.




It's worth mentioning that the BLOM bank, believing in the humble task of the center, launched in 2010 in cooperation with the Lebanese army a credit card named "Ataa" to help in removing mines and cluster bombs throughout the territory Lebanese.



At the conference, Mr. Saad Azhari in his speech spoke about the successful partnership between the Bank and the Centre as part of this exceptional and unique program of its kind in the world and wished the Center more success and achievements in the future.



Last but not least, Mr. Nabil Tabet in his speech thanked all the partners considered as pillars in this event, including BLOM, Jaguar, Boutique du Monde, Alice Edde, Tannourine, MEA, the Association of Automobile Importers in Lebanon (AIA), Exotica and The Gray. He also emphasized on the role of the media in disseminating the image of a modern and civilized Lebanon.
