Renowned fashion designer Amal Azhari and high-end women's shoe brand Ritika unveil their collaboration on "Artsy Splash," a limited-edition collection of hand-painted rain boots.
Known for the originality of her creations, unique prints, and unconventional embroideries, the brand Amal Azhari, founded in 2005, specializes in caftans and lounge and outdoor wear. Each piece that comes out of its workshops is a work of art in itself, a manifesto for feminine audacity and self-expression. The illustrations adorning the clothing and their linings are derived from paintings and collages created by Amal Azhari. As a graphic artist, the founder of the eponymous label follows her emotions and intuition to create powerful and inspired collections. The visual strength and refinement of her pieces attract a clientele of artists and celebrities who find in her aesthetic an echo of their own creativity. The "Artsy Splash" rain boot is the result of an original collaboration between Amal Azhari and Ritika. This exclusive capsule collection starts with a series of high-quality rubber boots produced by Ritika and customized by Amal Azhari. Twenty-three models, available in all standard sizes, are adorned with the designer's original patterns inspired by pop culture. Hand-painted by students from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University, the "Artsy Splash" boots are splashed with vibrant colors and feature bucolic or urban motifs, with nods to the Beatles, street art, hunting, or gardening, predominantly showcasing floral patterns.
The launch of this exceptional capsule was celebrated at the Amal Azhari showroom, a magnificent heritage space in sandstone at Saifi Village, downtown Beirut. The event was attended by pop star Maya Diab and numerous personalities from the arts, media, and fashion worlds.
