Mentor Arabia launched its regional drug awareness campaign for 2015 entitled "Ma Btifro' Ma'eh" (I don't Care) during a press conference held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut, and in the presence of the campaign's ambassadors; Saudi football legend captain Sami Al Jaber and Lebanese young actress and presenter Aimee Sayah.
The TV commercial for the campaign was shot in Beirut, where both ambassadors stressed on the importance of launching the campaign on all social media channels, thus to reach out to a large segment of youth and increase their awareness about the importance of prevention and the harmful effects of drugs.
The campaign, which will have a dedicated page on the organization's website, will be broadcasted on various regional and local TV stations. The campaign will also aim at marketing the work of Mentor Arabia and raising funds, which are vital for the implementation of its projects and programs on ground. The campaign's ambassadors will also be visiting schools and universities across Lebanon; in order to spread hope among students and emphasis on the importance of drug prevention among youth.
On the decision of selecting Sami and Aimee to be the campaign's ambassadors, Mentor Arabia's Communication and Media Director, Mr. Ahmad Jaber, explained that both stars are role models in their respective fields and have a major influence on the younger generation; Sami being a football legend and a renowned sports activists, and Aimee being an actress who had left her mark on youth across the Arab world through her continued success.
Mentor Arabia is a regional non-governmental organization, which advocates for drug prevention among children and youth. It is led by a board of trustees presided by HRH Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz. It was founded in 2006 with its headquarters in Beirut.
