World Space Week Lebanon
Social Event Activities
World Space Week - the largest space event on Earth - takes place every year from October 4 to 10. The 2019 theme is "The Moon: Gateway to the Stars", and Lebanon will be participating for the second time in this international event.

The World Space Week Lebanon National Coordinator, Dr. Cyrine Nehmé, and her team organized an opening ceremony which took place at The Sage Parlour in Mar Mkhayel, Beirut. Various activities were organized for all age groups, where there was a telescope, an introduction by Dr. Cyrine Nehmé, a word by Dr. Marwan Gebran and a Msc. in Astrophysics  Diana Ismail, multiple space talks, and a special charades-trivia hybrid game.

We officially invite everyone to join us in this celebration of space through participating in the many events and activities taking place across the country for the rest of this special and eventful week.
