Hippodrome Du Parc de Beyrouth has witnessed on October 8th, 2014 the celebration of the Lebanese wine festival; Vinifest and the feast will continue for the 3 upcoming days. Every year, and during the month of October, the heart of Beirut, gathers wine lovers to enjoy this convivial event. In partnership with BSL, and under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Tourism Mr. Michel Pharaon, the festival was launched. Many locals and foreign public figures were present including foreign minister Mr. Gebran Bassile, Ms. Milagros Hernando; the Spanish ambassador, Ms. Angelina Eichors; the ambassador of the European Union, Mrs. Mircea Victor, the Romanian ambassador; Mr. Vincent Battle, former ambassador of the United States, General Jean Kahwaji, and many other notables.
The Vinifest, and as customary, offers its visitors four unforgettable nights of booths demonstrations, wine tastings, and regional products from Lebanon. To create an even more exceptional show, people listened delightfully to the Lebanese National Anthem followed by a medley of European national anthems played on violin. It ended with a magnificent fireworks show while "Willkommen" was being played. The festival is meant to enhance the economic development of wineries, food producers and businesses, and enhance the Lebanese industry and tourism. That's only the start of it; plenty of surprises are yet to come.
Against all odds, Eventions kept its promise: to revive the values of love and the forgotten heritage, pure and simple joy, and pleasant emotions under one roof: Lebanon...
