The "One Blood" project is a tribute to blood given and not to blood shed. Hady Sy devised the idea of taking pictures of blood donated and to combine these with photographic portraits of the donors who have voluntarily and spontaneously given their blood. The meaning of "One Blood" lies in Hady Sy's humanist message: "we are all alike on the inside, the same powerful human bond runs in our veins, regardless of our lifestyle, language, shape, race, religion, colour or heritage. Imagine what can be achieved if we put our differences aside. Strength through unity. "
"One Blood" invited people to honor our diversity by celebrating our similarities. To this extent, Hady Sy embarked on an extensive journey taking him to many destinations across the globe, including Greenland, the Amazon, Nepal and other regions across Africa.
The One Blood" exhibition by Hady Sy extends from March 23 till March 29.
