Nadine Labaki and members of the jury in the award ceremony over category of : "Nazra ma" in "Cannes International Film Festival" An award ceremony over category "Nazra ma" was organized yesterday in "Cannes International film Festival".
The event was hosted in in "Debussy" lounge in Cannes-France and was attended by a crowd of film makers and international stars.
"Cannes Festival" director "Terry Fremont thanked the jury headed by Director/actress "Isabella Roslini" and It was remarkable this year, that Arabs were present in this jury, including the Lebanese director and actress Nadine Labaki , which was expected to attend as usual in this festival, assessing the Arab stars of world cinema.
Humanitarian movie "Hrotar" won the "Nazra ma" award.:Hrotar in a touching, meaningful movie about two brothers living in a nook raising sheep to wich they get so attached, they try their best not to kill them all since they got very ill.
The jury also granted an award to the movie "Zavezdan" or hot burning sun directed by Croatian director : "Delibor Matanitch"
As for the Directing award, it was won by Japanese "Keyochi Kirosao" for his tape : "to the other shore".
"Mawhaba ma" was granted to Romanian "Kornelio Boromboi" and was presented to him by "Nadine Labaki" as she spoke about talent and lightness of expression she remarked in the director's work.
"The Future" Prize was awarded jointly to directors of Iran and India , as the Iranian Aida Banahandi won it for her film " Nahed " and Indian Neeraj Gioan for his film " Masan " . This director also received the International Federation of film critics' award in the category of "Nazra Khassa".
Iranian and Indian Valvlim represent the first work of the director and they were successful in the transferring of the image within the society in which they live.
"Nazra ma" presents new talents and reveals them; rewarding especially cinema which has a special and renewed look towards communities and existence.
"We have traveled around the world while watching these films ," said Rossellini Aiwabella head of the jury.
