Huawei organized a press trip to China last week #huaweichinatriplevant, a 7 day event that took place in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and Beiruting was invited alongside Lebanese and Levant media to further discover the electronics manufacturer.
We visited their experience store to learn more about Huawei and their products, including a new cleaning robot, followed by a cultural tour of the city. The group also visited the Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen, as well as Xi Liu Bei Po Cun, the research campus for the engineers which is a 1.4 million sqm site with 108 buildings that accommodate 25,000 R&D staff.
We went to the operator exhibition room as well as the product manufacture line visit and a Songshan Area tour (dubbed Europe Town). Huawei also hosted the Levant media for an interview day with CEOs of the brand where the corporation shared the milestone of 100 million smart phone unit sales in 2018 under the title of “a global iconic tech brand”. The representatives shared the achievements including but not limited to, the world’s best smart phone camera, world’s longest lasting battery and the world’s leading 5G technology.
On our last day in China we left Shenzhen to Shanghai for a fun day at Disneyland and dinner at the famous Mercato Jean-Georges restaurant. There were many interesting aspects of our trip, some which we weren’t allowed to photograph and therefore must relate by text. This includes visiting the Reliability Lab that tests the phones reaction after multiple falls as well as seeing the charger wire resistance after many bends, in addition to watching the production of the mobile phones. After a week of an in-depth Huawei experience along with exploring the rich culture of China, and headed back to Lebanon, and during our trip we covered the happenings on our social media platforms @beiruting @aalamoki @beirutingkids as we strive to always share the latest happenings in Lebanon and abroad with Beiruting Around the World.
