Ellie Goulding burnt up the stage at Bielon 23rd of July. It was THE CONCERT of the summer. Doors opened at 8:30 pm, but the crowds were already waiting to reserve their places in the standing area. With an estimated 4 million album sales and 15 million singles worldwide, Ellie brought her exquisite performance to our Lebanese stages. However, believe it or not, she was amazed by how the crowds responded to her. "Ellie," "Ellie" they shouted as they waited for like an hour and a half for her first appearance.
Diversified and multi-talented, the band walked in first. Why I say that? Well, each member is apparently from a different nationality. She gave them the chance to introduce themselves one at a time during the concert, and each member saluted us with their mother language. And one thing shocked me most is that the guitarist can play keyboard and Ellie at times hit it hard on the drums.
Ellie started the concert smoothly, she knew how to communicate with the audience and keep the performance alive. There was no room for boredom; the multi-instrumentalist sang, she played the drums, she played the guitar, and she barely took a break. She kept pushing it further to end it up with "Anything could happen" and "Burn." Those two hits were proven to be loved by many. The seated and the standing were standing, and everyone pretty much sang along. Her energy was transferred to us, and her performance captivated the fans.
It was her first, and we sure wish it wouldn't be her last visit to Lebanon.
