L.I.P.S., with its highly specialized event & model management, presents the official Summer Fashion week to be held at Saint George Yacht Club-outdoor terrace. Lebanon, the Capital of Fashion in the Middle East, gathers 20 designers, be it local or international, on the longest runway ever built. An "Absolutely Glamorous" catwalk, with its wide diversity, gave buyers and the media a closer look at the latest trends.
Fashion weeks are usually held several months prior to the season in order for us to preview designs ahead of their time. This May, Lebanon has witnessed a dazzling summer fashion display bringing forth a variety of styles and elegance.
Fashion is passion, one language freely and subjectively interpreted in numerous ways. This industry can never be unified as the buyers' and the media's feedbacks are based on opinion and tastes, but keep in mind that everything comes with style. Here comes the fashion week, with a purpose of presenting mixtures of societies and cultures, whether haute Couture or Prêt-à-Porter, whether swimwear or lingerie, it gives access to upcoming trends.
LIPS presented this mixture of tastes by displaying designs of; From Beirut; Rami Salamoun, Les Amis, Martha Fadel, Marie France, DT Swimwear, Walid Shehab, Nadwa El Awar. From Paris; Eric Tibusch, and George Mak. From Saudi Arabia; Amina Al Jassim. From Kuwait; Fatema Ismaeil, Haya Al Houti. From Czech Republic; Jitka Klett. From Italy; La Perla. From UAE; Farah Hassan. From Turkey; Zeki. And Azadea Group (Calzedonia & Intimissimi)
"Fashion is the product of modern age." It is inspirational. It combines innovation and creativity and presents it to the entire public. Summer Fashion week is almost at an end, yet we await the Winter Fashion week to be held in November and Desses & Tresses in February, so stay tuned...
