The Jounieh International Festival promised us a spectacular show and they delivered on that promise with their opening ceremony for the 2013 edition of the festival. On the first night of summer, the skies of the coastal city of Jounieh were on fire with an impressive display of synchronized fireworks, which promised us an unforgettable festival to come, with names such as Michel Sardou, Mika, Ragheb Alama and the finalists’ tour from The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix.
After a countdown that had everyone waiting with bated breath, the fireworks shot up into the night sky, reflecting beautifully on the glittering Mediterranean and illuminating the boat gathering in the middle of the bay (which only happened after receiving the green light from relevant authorities). One of the boats hosted the famous DJ Saïd who spun his way into the hearts of those on the entire coast:
thanks to a line array system, every person on the coast of the bay danced the night away to the beats he played until dawn broke.
It was truly an awe-inspiring opening ceremony heralding an unforgettable 2013 festival!
