For the 5th consecutive year, the “Festival of Ramadaniyat Beirutiya 2016” annual social and cultural festival organized by “Beirutiyat”.
“Festival of Ramadaniyat Beirutiya” is an annual social and cultural festival organized by “Beirutiyat” - the strategic partner of Makhzoumi Foundation – featuring a new concept on a yearly basis.
This year, we will venture altogether into the streets of Hamra back in the 1970’s and re-live its glories from June 21st, till June 25th, 2016 at Biel starting 7:00 pm till 1:00 am. The event will be preceded by an opening ceremony for Media and VVIP on June 21st, 2016 from 9:00 pm till 10:00 pm.
Furthermore, and as the festival coincides with “La Fête de la Musique”, both occasions will be celebrated at one of the public podiums on June 21st starting 10:00 pm, in a close collaboration between Beirutiyat and the French Embassy.
Like previous years, the festival will host a variety of cultural, traditional and modern performers and will be spread; for the public; over 4 magical nights from June 22nd till the 25th, 2016 from 7:30 pm till 1:00 am
Supported by a nationwide campaign, “Festival of Ramadaniyat Beirutiya” is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors to embrace the Lebanese cultural heritage and tradition.
The NGO is also organizing “The Ramadan Village”, Makhzoumi Foundation’s grand charity project taking place throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Spanning 10.000m2 space in Verdun kindly offered by Dar El Fatwa, the “Ramadan Village” will serve over 2000 daily iftar meals for fasting people from all over Lebanon, in a welcoming atmosphere full of compassion, solidarity and brotherhood.
