At the heart of Beirut city, Saifa village was enjoying the opening party of the Beirut Design Week by Badih and Kantar architects on June 1, 2015 with loud music, drinks and live performances. People were dancing to the tunes, sharing smiles, and mingling with one another. Even their opening party reflects and reinforces the theme of this year's Beirut Design Week.
"Social beings" is the theme of this year's BDW. This theme is based on the principles of BDW that nurture and encourage the relations between people that make up the creative industry of Lebanon through sharing of skills and expertise.
Beirut Design week is an annual event that is held across Beirut city that features exhibitions, conferences, workshops, talks, competitions, discussion panels, and open studios showcasing the work of local and international designers operating within Lebanon. Beirut design week is the official event dedicated to al l forms of design in Lebanon.
