Beefeater, the world's most awarded premium gin, distributed in Lebanon by Nexty SARL, part of Fawaz Holding, organized an afternoon of fierce bartending competition and unrivalled mixing creativity featuring the most talented mixologists in Lebanon, serving up drinks worthy of the true modern London.
A celebrated icon of London's traditions, Beefeater Gin remains hand-crafted to a recipe that is unchanged since the 1800s. Distilled and re-distilled, this fine spirit bears the natural flavors of a truly British drink. This year, the challenge was to re-invent a classic gin cocktail while mirroring the continued evolution of London as a city of fusion of the past and the present; a mix of flavors, styles, ideas and cultures.
The inspiration was outstanding and so were the results and the finalists were selected for the competition based on their skills, craft and inspiring eclecticism.
On October 6th 2015, the selected finalists competed at Workshop Mar Mikhael, bringing to life some of their best innovations of flavorful mixes and show-stopping cocktails, using Beefeater Dry and Beefeater 24.
Following an exciting afternoon of inspiring cocktail creations, the expert judges composed of Sebastian Hamilton-Mudge - Beefeater's Global Brand Ambassador, Nawaf Beydoun - Bodo Bars Owner, and Annie Dilsizian - Editor of Hospitality News and Taste & Flavors, elected Edward Khattar from L'Avocat - Badaro as the national winner.
Edward will be flown to London in January 2016 to compete against the best bartenders in the world at the Beefeater MIXLDN Global Bartender Final for the title of Beefeater Global Bartender Champion 2015.
The remaining finalists were rewarded with Beefeater Dry and Beefeater 24 bottles as a token of appreciation for their creations.
