This Monday, August 1, 2016, under the theme of "Be Their Chance, be Their Dream Catcher", the CHANCE Association (CHildrenAgaiNst Cancer), organized a fundraising evening at Seven Sisters in Beirut. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Roula Farah, the association helps children with cancer and blood diseases as well as their families to finance the high cost of treatment in five hospitals and overcome the disease.

The evening began with an opening from the journalist's and TV presenter Youmna Naufal, followed by a tombola and a word of Dr. Roula Farah, president of the association who thanked the sponsors and participants. She also insisted that we all must continue to fight cancer that is, year after year, affecting children of all ages, with an emphasis on the fact that almost 80% of childhood cancers are curable. "Advances in medicine today can cure more childhood cancers and blood diseases that hit our lives like a nightmare". "Together, let us be their Dream Catchers! Filter out the bad dreams while letting positive dreams and positive vibes lit through". She also reiterated the association' scommitment to provide the best treatment for sick children to maximize their chances of surviving the disease.

The guests spent a memorable evening filled with emotions and beauty with a delicious dinner while a magician was charming the guests with his tricks. As an opening act, Melodie Bassar, a "survivor" of leukemia, honored the crowd by playing the violin accompanied by her family. The final performance of drummer Fady K.O.D. - King of Drums, who came from Canada especially for CHANCE event was a great success that delighted the guests who could not stop dancing. Another highlight of the evening, a fashion show organized by Zeina Slaiby featuring cured children accompanying celebrities wearing the creations of the designer was greatly appreciated. Beautiful prizes were provided by the generous sponsors and the first one, stunning earrings offered by Antoine Wadih Salamoun, was won by MrsMarise Abi Saleh.

The association continues its fight against the childhood cancer for 15 years. It relies entirely on donations and volunteering.
