Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb, and as part of its “Alfa-4-Life” CSR program to empower women, Alfa managed by Orascom Telecom organized an exhibition of artwork, decorative crafts, and embroidery made by the women and mothers of the SOS Children’s Villages Association.
The event, titled “De Fil en Aiguille”, was held at the Smallville Hotel in Badaro and attended by interested visitors, and artistic, media, and cultural figures. The works on display were met with enthusiasm and a good response from the attendance.
This initiative is a continuity to the eight-year-long collaboration between Alfa and the SOS Children’s Villages Association, which has resulted in numerous programs aimed at supporting the integration of the association’s children in the community, and has been leveraged now to providing support to the mothers and women of the association as well.
It is worth mentioning that Alfa has supported the refurbishment of the NGO’s workshop for decorative crafts and embroidery work, providing financial and logistical support.
All proceeds of the exhibition went to the SOS Children's Villages Association.
