On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, Le Bristol Hotel Beirut teams up with Lebanese photographer, artist and adventurer Christian Ghammachi for the official release of his latest book "Two Wheels Across Lebanon" at Villa Linda Sursock, the illustrious manor managed by Le Bristol.
Through his singular quest, Ghammachi returns to tell the second half of the story that began back in 2015 with the critically-acclaimed book "Rise Above Lebanon".
This colorful sequel is designed to explore the tiny yet rich Mediterranean country through the artist's eyes and will help foreign and local tourists plan their itinerary, should they decide to embark on their own personal journey.
"Two Wheels Across Lebanon" is filled with intimate photographs captured during the solo expedition Ghammachi took throughout the summer of 2018 on his BMW motorbike and is divided into six chapters, each representing one of the six routes taken.
A press conference, followed by a Q&A session, allow the press and guests to better understand the photographer's unique perspectives and works that continue to celebrate the land's natural beauty and rich culture.
Villa Linda Sursock has hosted a plethora of social and artistic functions over the years and with the support of Le Bristol's seasoned management team, it was the obvious choice of venue for this event. This exceptional collaboration cements Le Bristol's reputation as an active contributor towards Lebanon's rich cultural heritage and unrelenting appreciation of the arts.
"Ghammachi's brilliant vision never ceases to amaze. His art reflects a beautiful visage for Lebanon, one which we can all be proud of", comments Joseph Coubat, General Manager at Le Bristol Hotel.
