Rotana hotels were celebrated and honored with many awards for their achievements in the hospitality industry in Lebanon at the Horeca 2019 Exhibition.
The Horeca Exhibition, an annual four-day exhibition that showcases the best products and services in the hospitality and food industry showed appreciation to the winners of several categories through several competitions and evaluations.
Raouche Arjaan by Rotana won big in the cooking field as Mahmoud Rhayem was awarded the gold medal for preparing and decorating the best wedding cake while Abboud Abboud won the silver medal in Spinneys' food waste challenge. As there was an absence for a gold prize award in this category, the silver award is the highest achievement. The bronze medal was also awarded to Abbas Abboud and Hassan Baydoun for the burger challenge, in addition to Aida Al Mokdad, Alicia Maristela and Sara Moussa, who won for the Senior Bed Making and Ahmad Abbas for the art of services category. Moreover, Houssein Shehab received a certificate of appreciation for the Burger Challenge and Ali Mahmoud and Ali Hijazi for the Two Course Lebanese Menu competition. On top of the bronze medals awarded in burger preparation, many Raouche Arjaan by Rotana's chefs received a certificate of appreciation as well.
From the Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Joey Dembas was awarded the gold medal for the Senior Bed Making Competition and Christie Hoven was awarded the silver medal, while Lisa Dello received a certificate of appreciation in the same category. Raed Karma also received a certificate of appreciation in the Senior Bistronomy. The Gefinor Rotana Hotel has won three different awards in the Bed Making category.
The General Manager of the Gefinor Rotana Hotel, Mr. Gilbert Zeait, praised the efforts of the team and thanked them for their contribution in building the brand name. The General Manager of the Raouche Arjaan Hotel, Ms. Hala Massaad expressed her pride and congratulated the employees for their dedication to their work.
