1) What is the inspiration behind the songs, the old and new ones?
Already there is a difference in the context between the old and the new ones. The old ones were affected by the situation we were living in Lebanon, even the happy ones like " tir w 3alli ya hamam" had a message of hope in it for a better futureThe new ones have been inspired more by day to day situations that i have been going through as an adult, and those situations inspired me to compose those songs.
2) What kind of 'sound', production wise, did you have in the back of your mind, prior to entering the studio?
A more mature sound, whilst keeping the innocence in my voice without faking it. I have been told that i still have the innocent voice of when i was a child. At the same time my intention was to provide a different experience and melodies from the current commercial songs, and give the music lovers the option to listen to something new.
3) How would you describe the sound of your new Album "Ma nseet" to any potential new fan? (Genre, emotions, for the fans of...)
MA nseet, is the musical evolution of Re-Mi for more then 16 years, for example the song "Laych" was composed back in 1998, and was inspired by my love for western musics, while in songs like "ma Ahdamak" composed in 2015 i even dared and tried a new experience by featuring a lebanese rap group "mn el ekher" . You can say that each of the 9 songs has a different feel for it, and will touch people in a different ways depending on their mood.
4) How do you feel about performing your first concert since 24 years?
I simply cant express my feelings, i am overwhelmed, over joyed and definitely over excited. Being on stage has always been my joy , and my comfort zone. it used to be my playground. and i used to share it with my fans who are actually my friends , because we grew together and i cant wait to share this experience with them again.
5)What are the plans for the future?
In the end of the concert that will take place on the 20th of October in the assembly hall of AUB, i will launch my new single, to the people present there. It is a cry that people of my generation feels.
There are also talks of concert abroad as i still have a big fan base in countries like Jordan and Tunisia.
