"Bkassine is officially on the Lebanon Mountain Trail.
The inauguration of the Bkassine Side Trail was held on Saturday December 02, 2017, and it included 2 organized hikes as well as a ceremony in the main village square, with words from the Mayor of Bkassine Mr. Habib Fares, the president of the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association Ms. Martine Btaich, the president of the Union of Municipalities of Jezzine Mr. Khalil Harfouche and LIVCD Chief of Party Mr. Frank O'Brien.
An Info-Panel was installed in the Bkassine main square, giving information to hikers and visitors about the Side Trail and the Village of Bkassine.
The municipality of Bkassine offered hikers and attendees a delicious meal afterwards.
The development of the Bkassine Side Trail is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Lebanon under The Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD) Project".
