Henley & Partners foundation prepared a world ranking, which included 174 countries, according to their citizens’ ability to enter other countries without the need for a visa as of July 2014 in collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which has the largest database in the world on passports travel visas. United States topped the list.
The United States has made a big leap in the classification in terms of freedom of travel moving its passport from the seventh place in 2010 to first place currently. As citizens enjoy the best passport in the world, they can travel to 174 countries without a visa.
Talking about Arab countries, Kuwait topped the list and was ranked 54 globally, where Kuwaiti citizens can get access to 78 countries without visas. As for Lebanon, it came 14th in the Arab world and 88th worldwide. Its citizens can travel to 39 countries without a visa.
The following is a list of the global order:
- Finland, Germany, Sweden, the United States and the United Kingdom: Citizens of these countries can pass to all the 174 countries in this list without having to obtain a visa.
- Canada, Denmark: Citizens of those countries can access 173 countries without the need for a visa.
- Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain: the citizens of these countries can travel to 172 countries without the need for a visa.
- Austria, Norway and Irish: Citizens of these countries can travel to 171 countries without the need for a visa.
- New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland: Citizens of these countries can travel to 170 countries without the need for a visa.
- Greece: citizens can travel to 169 countries without the need for a visa.
- Australia: citizens can travel to 168 countries without the need for a visa.
- Malaysia, Malta: Citizens of these countries can pass to 166 countries without the need for a visa.
- Iceland: citizens can travel to 165 countries without the need for a visa.
- Czech Republic, Hungary: Citizens of these countries can travel to 162 different countries around the world without having to obtain a visa.
The order of the Arab countries came in the following form:
- Kuwait: 54 globally – 78 countries without a visa.
- UAE: 55 globally – 77 countries without a visa.
- Qatar: 56 globally – 75 countries without a visa.
- Bahrain: 62 globally – 69 countries without a visa.
- Oman: 64 globally – 66 countries without a visa.
- Saudi Arabia: 65 globally – 65 countries without a visa.
- Tunisia: No. 66 globally – 64 countries without a visa.
- Mauritania, Morocco: 73 globally – 55 countries without a visa.
- Egypt: 80 globally – 48 countries without a visa.
- Algeria: 82 globally – 46 countries without visas.
- Moon and Jordan Islands: 83 globally – 45 countries without a visa.
- Yemen: 85 globally – 43 countries without a visa ..
- Djibouti: 86 globally – 42 countries without a visa.
- Lebanon and South Sudan: 88 globally – 39 countries without a visa.
- Libya, Sudan and Syria: 89 globally – 38 countries without visas.
- Palestine: 91 globally – 35 countries without visas.
- Somalia: 92nd in the world – 32 countries without visas.
- Iraq: 93 globally – 31 countries without visas.
