Combining the best of local and global content, users can now download the Deezer app and discover and play all content in Arabic.

Now, for the first time on Deezer, music fans can listen to a wide selection of Arabic hits from Rotana and instantly hear popular hits from Elissa, Amr Diab, Tamer Hosny, Wael Kfoury and Majid Almohandis. Deezer users can also instantly access local content from Mazzika and Qanawat, as well as listen to an international catalogue of 53 million tracks from global artists like Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris and Shakira, as well as wide variety of genres ranging from pop to hip-hop.

The Deezer app is specifically tailor made for local users and will include numerous playlists and content curated by local music editors such as PopTop Arab, Rapstars Maghreb United and Shaabi Essentials. Music fans in the MENA region can now have the best and most diverse music experience with an easy to use app that will create personalized recommendations based on users' listening habits. The launch also follows the signing of the exclusive digital distribution agreement between Rotana and Deezer on 2 August 2018.

Deezer is now fully available for listeners all over the Middle East and North Africa, with local offers in United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco,

Algeria, Kuwait, Tunisia, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Mauritania as well as other selected countries.

"We are really excited to bring Arabic listeners a unique and unrivalled blend of the best exclusive Arabic music and the most popular international tracks in one place. We are also proud to now offer music fans the Deezer app in Arabic, with an affordable premium offer as well as the opportunity to try Deezer for free" said Hans-Holger Albrecht, CEO of Deezer.

"At Deezer we understand that people's music tastes blend local and international tracks. We believe that it is important to be present locally, close to the artists we promote on our platform and to the music fans who support them. In the coming months we will be opening a new regional headquarters in Dubai, which will help us grow our presence further. While overall streaming levels are still relatively low in the Middle East and North Africa, we are confident that they will continue to grow rapidly. We look forward to being a key part in creating and capturing that growth" added Hans-Holger Albrecht.

"As Rotana is the first and leading Arab music company in the world to have always

surpassed many other companies in the digital music world; we realized that it was time to conclude a partnership agreement with Deezer, a world leader in high quality music, in order to reach the largest segment of users in the MENA region and in many parts of the world. This agreement will certainly benefit both parties and the biggest and main beneficiary will be the artists who are signed with Rotana, as well as all music lovers in the Arab music, said Mr. Salem Al-Hindi, CEO of Rotana Audio & Video Group.

New users in MENA can also enjoy a free Premium trial period by signing up easily on their mobile devices. Users are not required to enter payment details and must be a first time user. Premium service is a paid monthly service that includes ad-free listening, downloads and offline listening.
