On September 3, 2014, in partnership with The Global Party and Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut, the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) organized 'Sunset Rendezvous', an exclusive VIP event to raise funds for the treatment of kids with cancer at CCCL. Sunset Rendezvous, one of The Global Party's largest invite-only VIP charity events and the first of its kind in Lebanon, was held on September 3rd at Améthyste Lounge, Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut.

All united with one common charitable cause, socialites, select people, celebrities, and VIPs gathered to attend one of this year's global parties that were held in over 360 different cities all over the world. 'The Sunset Rendezvous' event 'Where Fashion Meets Passion for a Noble Cause', held in the epicenter of Beirut, in the perfect outdoor and luxurious lounge that is named after a beautiful semi-precious stone, gathered the elite of the city in support to CCCL.

Mrs. Chantal Saliba, Master of Ceremony, started this special event with a touching welcome note, followed by a word from the heart by Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, CCCL General Manager, thanking all CCCL supporters whose support and contributions are crucial for the center to continue its mission of saving kids' lives. Then, Ms. Yasmina Hilal, CCCL Survivor, shared her story with cancer with the attendees, who were very touched and impressed by Yasmina's courage and strength.

The program included a walk-in closet by International Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika, where the elegant ladies present had the chance to shop from more than 165 beautiful dresses at reduced prices -for this special occasion only - with all proceeds from the sales benefiting the CCCL.

The program also included a Fur Fashion Show by G. Nasrallah boasting the latest collection of fine fur coats, jackets, and other accessories, of which 5 items were displayed for sale with all the proceeds donated to CCCL. Attendees got also to enjoy the delicious food offered by Phoenicia's chefs on six live cooking stations, live entertainment and music, and a raffle draw on several luxurious items offered.

With more than 1,000 children with cancer treated to date with an average cure rate of 80%, and with more than 4,000 consultations provided, CCCL has the capacity to treat 250 patients at the center each year requiring a yearly budget of 15 million USD; therefore every contribution counts for CCCL to continue its lifesaving mission.
