The Rotaract Club of Beirut hosted its first annual Fundraising event Le Tarboush, that held at SUD bar and restaurant - Mar Mikhael, on Tuesday October 22, 2013.The proceeds of this event went to the national water filtration project in public schools (the project was adopted by Rotary for the year 2013‐2014).
Rotaract is an international program sponsored by Rotary for adults ages 18 to 30 who want to develop their professional and leadership skills as well as promote high ethics in order to make a positive difference in the community. There are more than 8,400 clubs in about 170 countries and geographical areas.
The Rotaract Club of Beirut, sponsored by Le Rotary Club de Beyrouth, is part of district 2450, which includes 13 other active clubs in Lebanon and clubs from Armenia, Georgia, Cyprus, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Sudan and UAE.
