HOLLYWOOD actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney have reportedly given their neighbours a £45,000 compensation package for disturbance caused by renovations to their Berkshire home.
A holiday to Corfu and a £30,000 lump sum have been given to John Grove, 58, and his wife Clare, 49, as part of a deal by the 55-year-old Hollywood actor and his 39-year-old human rights lawyer wife.
Refurbishment to the Clooney’s Grade II-listed building in Sonning began in late 2015 and includes a construction of a 12-seater cinema and an astroturf tennis court.
For this Groves this meant a daily stream of lorries and trucks clogging up the roads outside their home.
A source told the Daily Mail:”The Clooneys have given a lot back to the community since they moved in. They have been incredibly generous in compensating the Groves for the hassle of the building work.”[thesun]
