For the opening of the property, Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort hosted its first Christmas tree lighting ceremony with twenty guest children from the Children Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL).
A ceremony highlighting a Merry Christmas spirit through a special donation to CCCL, starting with Pastry Chef Elie Aoun and his signature Buche De Noel. The bucheis sold throughout the month of December at Kempinski, with revenue donated to the CCCL charity.
On this occasion, Daniele Vastolo, General Manager of Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort stated: "The Kempinski group is active in three main areas for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices that contributes in delivering economic, social and environmental benefits to its local community. The first area is addressing social & environmental challenges, the second is supporting art & cultural development in our society, and finally simple initiatives that have an impact on reducing energy consumption. Today, we have chosen CCCL to be the beneficiary from the buche revenue as this donation will support multiple children to have the proper resources to overcome cancer, as we believe in spreading hope not only during Christmas, but all year long".
